Event description

Description

As part of The Equally Safe in Higher Education Project (ESHE), we want to ensure that students and staff at the University of Strathclyde understand the impact of harassment, abuse and violence and know what we can do stop it. Bystanders are often in a position to prevent these behaviours and support those who are experiencing it. Often we can be anxious or unsure of what to do and so allow this to go unchallenged. Active bystanders are aware of when a situation constitutes harassment, abuse or violence, and are equipped to speak up and do something about it.

This training will provide all students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be an active bystander. If you would like to learn more about safely challenging harassment, abuse and violence then why not attend our free seven week training course. All participants will be awarded a certificate of completion.
