Join us for an evening of classical music performed by a trio of postgraduate students from the Royal Academy of Music. The performance is set to take place at St. James Hatcham Church, which has been transformed into an exhibition and performance space by Goldsmiths University. The unique space will provide a perfect ambience to enjoy the exquisite performance.


Sergiu Hudrea is a guitar player, currently pursuing a Master of Arts at the Royal Academy of Music with Michael Lewin. He has finished his bachelor at ESMD - École Supérieure Musique et Danse Hauts de France with Judicael Perroy and has been a finalist to Romania's Got Talent with his guitar skills. Sergiu has won over 64 prizes in National and International Guitar Festivals of which over are 30 first prizes. He has also played in numerous venues such as France, Romania, Germany, Serbia, Hungary and the U.K.


Melisande Yavuz is a violinist currently studying for her Masters at the Royal Academy of Music, with Joshua Fisher. She completed her undergraduate degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where she was a finalist of the Vera Kantrovich Prize for solo strings and performed the Bach Double Violin Concerto in the ORNC Chapel. Melisande has performed solo, chamber, and orchestral works, in all styles ranging from Baroque to Bluegrass. She has collaborated with artists at the London Jazz Festival, and in masterclasses with violinists such as Daniel Hope at the Royal Albert Hall. Last year, Melisande performed in the opening ceremony of the World Economic Forum, as a member of the Taki Concordia Orchestra, conducted by Marin Alsop. She also played on Nile Rodgers’ single “Let’s Dance”, recorded at Abbey Road Studios. She was a finalist of the Isaacs and Pirani Piano Trio Prize, and led the Academy orchestra for their production of “The Wild Party”.


Mirko Škarica is an accordion player, currently studying Master of Arts programme at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He finished his bachelor studies at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, Slovakia. During his musical education he accomplished many great results on renowned international competitions Some of them being  first prize on International Accordion Competition in Erbezzo, Italy, first prize on International Accordion Competition in Tivat, Montenegro and first prize on International Accordion Competition in Pula, Croatia. He was privileged to learn from some of the most respected accordion professors in the world.


Light refreshments will be provided.

Performance resumes - 8:15 pm

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is no parking available on site. Nearest overground station is New Cross Gate station ( 0.2 miles ) and DLR station is Deptford Bridge ( 0.8 miles ). Nearest bus stop is New Cross Gate Station ( 436, 172, 53, 171, 453, 21, 136, 321 ).

 

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, if you have the email confirmation ready is sufficient.


What's the refund policy?
