Event description

Description

Japan is a country where history and tradition have become intertwined with the technical advances of the modern age. From the beautiful landscapes of Hakone National Park to the towering glass monuments of Tokyo, Japan’s traditions and beliefs can sometimes appear as mysterious as they are mesmerising.

Japan has lured untold numbers of adventurers since Marco Polo first introduced it to the world back in the 13th century as "Zipangu - the Land of Gold".

We’re delighted to be launching both group tours and tailor-made holidays to Japan from 2017. Joining our Head of Group Tours Marc Leaderman and Asia specialist Nathan Drane will be WF tour leader and former champion jockey Richard Dunwoody, who walked the length of Japan earlier this year – an incredible feat lasting just over three months and giving him great insight into the country’s cultural variety and colourful and inspiring natural attractions, not to mention the hospitality of its people.

When: Wednesday 29 November 2017

Where: The Frontline Club, 13 Norfolk Place, London, W2 1QJ

Time: 6.30pm for 7pm presentation
