INTO THE NIGHT! Masks, stories, ritual celebration in community

Join INTO THE NIGHT! for creative play and celebration of the transition to the darker months. We'll:

🌙 Get our creative juices flowing and get spoooky with games and imagination starters

🌙 Invoke GUARDIANS & PROTECTORS to help us for the darker months ahead. (We could all use a helping hand right now... am I right???!)

🌙 Make masks or totems of our GUARDIAN & PROTECTORS using cardboard, papier mache and card.

🌙 Contribute to THE MAGNIFICENT EATER OF FEARS & GLORIOUS KEEPER OF THE BALANCE

🌙 Gather and share stories around THE THRESHOLD FIRE OF WINTER

🌙 Be seriously silly and foolishly fabulous

✨What will the sessions look like?

Sessions will run from 6:30 -8:30 pm. Drop-in to one or come to all three.

Thursday Oct 16 - Invokation! We'll start with some creative play to get the juices flowing, build up the world of your GUARDIAN & PROTECTOR mask, and then get to making!

Friday Oct 24 - Play! Make! Laugh! We'll dive a bit deeper into the story world of your mask and finish making them.

Thursday Oct 30 - Our GUARDIANS & PROTECTORS will gather around THE THRESHOLD FIRE OF WINTER to share their stories and offerings, where we'll be joined by poet Rosie May Jones & guests. We'll go on a Sonic Seasons journey, feed THE MAGNIFICENT EATER OF FEARS & GLORIOUS KEEPER OF THE BALANCE, and celebrate the start of dark months of the year.

✨Artists & Facilitators

Lead Artist: Flavia Bertram, theatre maker and community facilitator with rotating guests.

Tea and coffee will be available. Various milk alternatives.

Bottle of water and any snacks you may want.

✨Pay what you can

We aim to keep these sessions as accessible as possible. We ask that you pay what you can using this scale as guidance:

1. Free if you struggle to pay bills
2. £4, the price of a fancy cuppa
3. £6 - £10, what you might pay for a cinema ticket or a drink (or two!)
4. £15+, this supports the events to happen and makes it possible for others to attend for free

All contributions go towards covering the venue overheads, replenish the tea and coffee station available to everyone, materials, facilitators fees, team organisational fees and running costs.

🌙Accessibility

Moseley Hive is a one level venue with no steps.

Gender neutral toilets and a wheelchair accessible toilet.

Small group of maximum 25 participants.

No loud music, ambient background music.
