Event description

Description

The IntoUniversity Mentoring Scheme matches a young person (aged 10-17 years) with a current university student mentor. They select young people we think will benefit – they might not know anyone who has been to university, parents might not have the time or skills to support them academically, they may have low confidence or want to know more about their future pathways.

Mentoring pairs engage in activities to support in academic attainment, social skills, and exploring future options. Activities might include helping with homework, cooking or taking part in a group trip to a university. We have lots of ideas and resources or you can plan your own activities. The scheme has been awarded Approved Provider status by the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation – a mark of best practice.
