Sexual assault rates are high, and rising and young people's knowledge of sexual consent is low. It is not taught in schools or at University. Research has proven that the only proven way to reduce sexual assault is through education and we believe that by teaching people about sexual consent we can make a real and lasting difference to sexual assault rates.
Our goal is to introduce as many Manchester Met students as possible in the new academic year to consent with the aim of rolling out the workshopo to all incoming Freshers in the near future. Our trained student faciltators will also be delivering workshops in local schools.
