The perfect workshop for anyone who has recently purchased a Cricut Maker or Explore Air 2 and would like help getting started.

Our Cricut Expert, Sophia, will guide a small group (between 2-6 attendees) through Design Space. You will learn the basics of how to make a project on your Cricut Maker or Explore Air 2, covering the following areas:

- What is Design Space?

- How to design and make your own simple project

- How to make and customise a 'Ready to Make' project

This is a live workshop, so you will have many opportunities to ask questions.

>>To maximise your learning experience, we would encourage you to watch and ask questions rather than try to make along through the session. We will show you how you can easily record the session to watch back in your own time, pausing and rewinding where necessary.

We've found that if you try to make along, you may miss important pieces of information! You would also require 2 devices - one for zoom and another for Design Space, so your concentration would be split.

During the workshop, we will be using:

A Cricut Maker or Explore Air 2 with a fine-point blade attachment

A tablet or computer with Design Space downloaded onto it

A standard grip mat (green)

Cricut vinyl

A blank item to customise (This could be anything made of glass, plastic, wood, leather, metal, ceramic etc)

Card

A light grip mat (blue)

Cricut pens (suitable to use with a Maker or Explore Air 2)

Prior to the workshop, you will need to download Cricut Design Space onto your device via design.cricut.com and set up an account. This is free and a straight-forward process.

By the end of the workshop, you will have the confidence to design and make your own projects on your Cricut machine. You will know your way around the basics of Design Space. And you will feel more familiar with your machine, the tools and materials.
