Intro to the Pennine Way
Overview
Join me for a three-day hike from Edale to Hebden Bridge along the Pennine Way!
Discover the UK's oldest national trail with women who want to spend more time outdoors, switch off from the everyday, and share an experience in a safe and supportive environment.
‘Intro to the Pennine Way’ is a walk designed to break down barriers for women who want to spend more time outdoors, try something new, and build confidence in body and mind. When I walked the Pennine Way myself in 2023, I didn’t see any other female hikers on the trail. Whilst there are many reasons for this that I can’t change (caring/childcare responsibilities or work commitments), some things I can (confidence, knowledge, experience). Just like my business ethos, it’s all about taking it one step at a time!

WHY WALK WITH ME?
Hi there, I’m Kate!
I’m a chartered marketer and hill & moorland leader.
I'm also a member of the British Mountaineering Council and Mountain Training Association.
After walking the Pennine Way solo in 2023, I left my full-time job in marketing to forge a new path. My business, House of Comms, has one goal: to take the stress out of marketing, one step at a time. Walking is at the heart of this mission as it offers creativity, connection, and community, which is why I run netwalks and walkshops as well as consulting.
'Intro to the Pennine Way' is nothing to do with marketing, however, and is open to all women who want to take that first step in a new direction, towards a new goal, or simply...forwards!
You can find me on LinkedIn or Instagram under House of Comms and Where She Walks.
