Introduction to Youth Work Course Dumfries : 1 Day Course
Facilitator: Ken Davidson, Youth Scotland
This Youth Scotland course aims to provide participants with the basic information, skills and knowledge that everyone working with young people should know including:
- What is Youth Work
- The Role of the Youth Worker
- Building relationships with young people
- Planning Activities
- Health and Safety
- Child Protection
This course is fun and interactive and is delivered informally by professional, experienced youth work staff. It will help build your knowledge and practical skills in working with young people, give you the chance to network with other people delivering youth work locally and provide lots of practical resources to take away.

Who should attend?
Youth Workers/Leaders aged 16+ (paid • sessional • volunteers)
This event is free and tea/coffee and a light lunch will be provided.
However, please note there is a £25 charge for non-attendance on the day.
