“Introducing Orienteering”

FREE course

Saturday 7th October 2017

Scottish Orienteering in association with Tay Landscape Partnership & Tayside Orienteers

Through a partnership between Tayside Orienteers and Tay Landscape Partnership we are offering local secondary school teachers, outdoor education instructors and youth leaders (over the age of 17 years) FREE places in “Introducing Orienteering” to young people.

This course will be run by the Scottish Orienteering Association and will be held on Saturday 7th October 2017 from 10am – 4pm at Kinnoull Hill Learning Centre, Perth. This will be a superb day of enjoyable, active learning experiences providing you with the skills and a set of resources that can be used immediately for a series of progressive sessions. No prior knowledge is required.

These new (or refreshed) skills will give you the chance to set up simple orienteering activities indoors and outdoors and will also enable you to take advantage of the newly refurbished Permanent Orienteering Course on Kinnoull Hill, Perth that is currently being upgraded and which provides an open-access, permanent orienteering course available for public use.
