This could be the event for you which starts that process.


Come and join us on 21st May 2024 for a hot drink and light refreshment (pizza) and we will discuss with you career options within the Northamptonshire Police with a focus on the degree apprenticeship.


About the apprenticeship: This is a three year programme in conjunction with the University of Northampton where student police officers will study towards a BA degree in Professional Policing Studies. Students are paid a police officer salary from day one and the Commissioner pays all tuition fees - this really is 'ear whislt you learn'.


We will explain more about the detail of the programme and the eligibility criteria. We will try to have degree apprentice officers present to share their experiences with you.


Apprenticeship not for you? This is not an issue. Specialst recruitment staff will be available to discuss alternative routes of entry into policing and when those recruitment windows will open.


Staff will also be avialable to dicuss alternative roles within polcinng, including:


PCSO: This role is key to building relationships with the communities we serve. If you are passionate about people and want to help people in thier communities - this is an fantastic role and opportunity.


Police Staff Roles: Like any large organisation we have an number of roles that ensure our activities are undertaken. These include HR, finance, IT & commuting and building &facilities. In addition to these there are roles specific to policing. These include supporting victims; supporting investigators; crime scene experts and people managing property and evidence. There are many roles within the organsiation which we can discuss.
