Oxford Sciences Innovation (OSI) is proudly hosting Tech Nation for a panel discussion regarding the new Global Talent Visa (otherwise known as the Tech Nation Visa) on 27th February, 7 days after its official government launch.

On 20th Feb 2020, the UK government will be renaming the Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa to the Global Talent Visa. The Global Talent Visa offers a route for the world’s brightest minds to work in the UK, also removing the previous cap of 2,000 Tier 1 visas per annum. This 5-year visa does not require an applicant to have a job in the UK before entry.

Join us to learn more about the Tech Nation application and endorsement process and how the changes might affect you. We’ll be hearing from Tech Nation Visa ambassadors and there will be opportunity for questions with the Tech Nation team and their legal partners Kemp Little, Kingsley Napley and Lewis Silkin who will be on hand on the night to answer any technical questions you may have about applying for a Tech Nation Visa.

Please arrive at 5.45pm at Grassroots, OSI’s incubator space. The panel will take place 6.15-8pm and will be followed by drinks and canapes.

The timings are usually 8 weeks for Application for Endorsement (Stage 1) and up to three weeks for the Visa application (Stage 2), depending on personal circumstances.
