About this event

How can a freelance journalist stand out in the industry? How does one enhance their storytelling techniques? Pi Media has invited an experience freelance journalist to answer these questions.

Rosie Hewitson is currently the Events Editor for Time Out, London. Before that, she was a freelance writer with experience pitching and writing interviews, features, news stories and opinion pieces for The Guardian, The Independent, VICE, Refinery29, Metro, Dazed and more. She has written on topics including music and the arts, queer issues, climate change, the internet and youth culture. Rosie has also worked on various branded content campaigns including VICE partnerships with VisitBritain, ArtFund and Van Moof bikes, and a major research project for Red Bull's Cultural Marketing team on the history of breakdancing.

Rosie graduated from UCL in 2016 and studied English Language and Literature.
