Over 6 Monday afternoons
This is an introduction to Buddhism as practised in the world of today.
Previous knowledge of meditation is not required.
The course is six weeks long.
Each week we will start with a short (10-15 mins) guided meditation.
The course consists of presentations, discussion and some reflections to do between sessions.
There is a short (10 mins) break in the middle of each session.
There will be a handout for each session.

week 2 The Threefold Path: ethics
week 3 The Threefold Path: meditation
week 4 The Threefold Path: wisdom, the main Buddhist teachings
week 5 Buddhist ritual, symbols and mantras
week 6 Sangha, the spiritual community, the Buddhist tradition and the Triratna Buddhist Community
