Introduction to 3D Hand Embellishments
Learn how to create beautiful 3D embellishments with a variety of recycled and traditional textile materials, combined with hand stitch. Embroidery artist Jessica Grady* will introduce you to her embellishment techniques with vertical beading, folded and pleated sequins, working with wire and using piping and cables to create 3D climbing structures. Experiment with your own hand-crafted beads and sequins to achieve unique and creative results.
You will leave the class with a 3D textile art piece that you can frame up or work on further. This class is suitable for absolute beginners as Jessica will go through all the steps to introduce you to this exciting art form, as well as more experienced stitchers wanting to experiment with new 3D techniques.
