Have you ever felt drawn to supporting people at the end of life but unsure where to begin?

This summer, Living Well Dying Well is offering a rare opportunity to take part in their Foundation Training in Dumfries – a powerful and accessible introduction to a person-centred approach to death and dying.

Over five days (three in person and two online), you’ll explore how to be present with those who are dying, deepen your understanding of what it means to companion someone at the end of life, and gain insight into the emotional, practical and spiritual aspects of this important work.

The course is open to anyone – whether you're considering becoming an End of Life Doula, have personal experience, or work in a related field. It is both reflective and practical, and will leave you with greater confidence, clarity and connection.

All learners receive a Quality Mark certificate from the Crossfields Institute upon completion. The Foundation Course can be taken on its own or as the first step toward the Living Well Dying Well Diploma.

Online: 9–10 October 2025 (Zoom)
