Join us for four independent sessions to experience embodying the archetypes of Sovereign, Warrior Magician and Lover.

Understand more about the qualities each archetype can present, such as:

• Sovereign’s Leadership, service and ownership

• Warrior’s focus, determination and protection of boundaries

• Magician’s imagination, creativity and transcendence

• Lover’s empathy, connection and compassion

Develop your personal relationship with those qualities, adopting versions that work for you and are personal to you.

Experience embodiment through the archetypes - an efficient and effective approach to implementing desired changes in your life.

Discover aspects of each archetype that might present within you as being over or under expressed and learn to adapt those behaviours when necessary. For example, explore your relationship with:

• feeling like a victim and taking ownership through Sovereign

• too little and too much commitment with Warrior

• your inclination towards imagination and the rational with Magician

• clinging and neediness or aloof unavailability in relationship through Lover

Explore the range of possible behaviours of each archetype, so that you can discover where your patterns and habits lie and begin to practice new behaviours that will give you more freedom and choice.

Learn from the experience of others in the group.

Specifically in this opening session, we will be exploring Sovereign.

Sovereign holds the place of leadership within, by setting direction and purpose, and therefore wears your personal crown and represents your wholeness.

The sovereign within you:

• Has the natural authority to lead.

• Holds the highest vision of the life you would love to create.

• Is clear on and committed to the values that guide the way you live.

• Holds your feet on the ground to encourage action and practical application.

• Holds themselves as whole with dignity and grace.

• Is magnetic and attractive.



In this 90-minute session devoted to the embodiment of the Sovereign Archetype we will:

• Experience the differences that embodying Sovereign invites to our awareness, perception and sense of being.

• Explore ways that we might deny the authority and presence of our leadership, becoming submissive to others, or experiencing life as victims.

• Explore ways that our leadership might present as over-blown, dominant or pushy.

• Access the higher qualities that Sovereign makes available to us.

• Develop a personal, unique embodiment practice to express and live those qualities.


This session stands alone. You are welcome to attend as a one-off.

It is also part of the Sovereign Leadership Programme, incorporating 3 other stand-alone sessions exploring Warrior, Magician and Lover, followed by the 6-week Foundation in Sovereign Leadership training.

David Brown

David's work with the archetypes began over 30 years ago when he began his training with The Bushido Academy of Martial Artists, specialising in Aikido, Iaido (Sword), Karate, self defence and oriental weapons. He has a 4th dan black belt.  He founded the Bushido Cambridge Dojo (training centre) in 1996.

Through the martial arts, David gained extensive experience of the Warrior archetype. Also, the Zen training that accompanies the martial arts, cultivated the Sovereign archetype for David. He developed the Magician archetype through Zen writing and poetry, using the ancient skills of tandem (spontaneous creative output) not only to create spontaneously in writing, but also in movement and teaching. And the long-honed art of teaching continues to nurture the qualities of the Lover archetype, such as empathy, relationships and compassion, which are also developed through David's work as a Samaritans volunteer and a life coach.

David trained as a life coach with CTI (Co-Active Training Institute), and combines his experience as a coach and martial artist in his Archetypes Academy work with Thea Allison. Through embodiment and archetypes, David and Thea explore the everyday themes that people face around relationships, creativity and intuition, values, purpose and self-responsibility as well as decisiveness, boundaries and focus.  David founded Potentiality Coaching (www.potentialitycoaching.co.uk) so that he could support more people beyond the sphere of martial arts to reach their personal and professional goals.

David is also a trainer and facilitator, specialising in using embodiment for better self-regulation, stress management, resilience and well-being.

Thea Allison

Thea is a coach and facilitator who works from the foundation that we are deeply and naturally supported by life. She works with clients to make simple adjustments in mindset and embodiment to access that support and create magic.

Thea has over a decade of experience as a coach working with business leaders, aspiring coaches and social entrepreneurs. In her previous career she was a leader of social enterprises and charities.

Thea is developing a new approach to creating a life of deep, personal satisfaction through the interaction of human imagination, the human body and the infinite potential of creative energy. She calls this approach Embodied Creating.

Thea and David deliver events and trainings around embodying the archetypes. Having started their partnership to run Embodiment Circles as a source of support to people during the pandemic, they discovered just how effective it was to work through the model of the archetypes and embodiment. They continue to work with this unique approach to support clients to get new, sustainable results from very simple and easily applied embodiment techniques to bring to life the range of qualities of the sovereign, magician, lover and warrior within. They call this body of work the Archetypes Academy.
