Who is the Course aimed at:

This course is aimed at all those who are newly promoted to the role of a Team Leader. The course enables new Team Leaders to step up int their new responsibilities by improving their leadership skills to enhance effectiveness both within the team and the organisation. The course also supports those who are already in the role and who want to update and build on their knowledge, as well as aspiring Team Leaders, to support organisational development and succession planning.

• Qualities, attitudes and behaviours of a Team Leader - an assessment

• Effectively planning and organising the work of the team

• Getting the best from individuals and the team

• Communicating for impact to achieve goals

• Building trust and effective relationships

• Motivators and de-motivators at work and ways to Motivate the demotivated individual

• Providing feedback in a person centric way

• Development stages of a team and what makes it ineffective and effective

• The role of coaching and mentoring.

Outcomes:

• Assess the effectiveness of the Team Leader in their role

• Effectively communication to get results and to communicate with confidence

• Improve decision-making skills aligned to organisational outcomes

• Develop, motivate and stretch the team towards reaching greater potential

• Provide constructive feedback to their team members in a person centric way

• Build a positive ‘can do’ team who go that extra mile
