Introduction to beekeeping level 1

Combine a weekend of camping with learning about our native honey bee and let us introduce you to the ancient art of beekeeping. The aim of this camp is to introduce you to honey bees, understand their functionality and prepare you for becoming a beekeeper
Join us and you could be eating honey, produced by your own bees, by Autumn!
During the weekend, you'll meet experienced beekeepers who will share their own knowledge and expertise and provide you with a platform to network with novice and experienced beekeepers alike, this will include;
•The natural history of the honey bee and colony
•Understand the interaction between bees and flowers
•Understand the different components of a hive and the role that they play
•Understand the role of the beekeeper
•Understand seasonal changes that take place in a colony
•Campfire supper and social activity BYOB
