We can help you learn some essential bike maintenance tips with this free-of-charge bike maintenance course. You’ll be mastering your own repairs in no time!
Introduction to Bike Maintenance is an afternoon session that covers all the basics for beginners, such as removing a wheel, repairing a puncture and roadworthiness checks.
Our experienced bike mechanic will break down the session into hourly topics as follows:
- Punctures: 11am to midday
- Brake adjustments: midday to 1pm
- Gear adjustments: 1.30pm to 2.30pm
- Safety checks and bike care: 2.30pm to 3.30pm
You can attend all sessions or just attend the 1 or 2 topics that interest you the most. Sign up is for the individual sessions.
Sessions are in Patchway Youth Centre on Sunday 21 and Sunday 28 September.
Places are limited so it is recommended that you book in advance. But if there is space available , drop-ins on the day are also welcome.
Children aged over 12 are welcome, if accompanied by an adult. You will need to bring your own bike to attend the session.
