Introduction to Bookbinding
Tutor: Alex Czinczel
There are many ways to make a book. In this one day class, you will learn three of them: we will make a book in pamphlet stitch, a Japanese binding, and a concertina book.
You will gain useful knowledge about paper grain, how to use bookbinding tools, and how to choose materials in order to make a beautiful, well-functioning book. This class is a great starting point if you haven't done any bookbinding before and would like to get some inspiration and practical skills to start making your own books, whether you want to make sketchbooks, journals or artists' books.
