Introduction to Canoeing and Gig Rowing

Come a try the sport of Gig Rowing and Canoeing in Bristol! Due to the size of the Gig equipment there is an age limit of 12 and over on this activity.
A perfect day for beginners, and those with a little experience in padde sports or rowing. Spend the day with us learning the basics of canoeing and gig rowing! Gig Rowing is a fast growing sport which has a big emphasis on being part of a team. How fast can you and your friends get the Gig moving? Then have a go at canoeingaround the docks playing fun games and trying not to get too wet! Have fun and get active!
Format of the Day:
The meeting place will be: Pooles Wharf Activity Centre, Hotwell Road, BS8 4RU. (Next to the Grain Barge Floating Bar/ Restaurant)
Please bring: lunch and drink, full change of warm clothes and a towel including shoes (not sandals or flip flops) to wear on the water.
Your child should arrive at Pooles Wharf between 9am-9:30am, where they will meet the instructor and the other participants before setting off for their activity at 9:45am.
When the session has ended at around 4pm the children will return to Pooles Wharf and wait to be picked up at 4:15pm. Parents/carers will be contacted if their child has not been collected by 4:30pm.
