This workshop is delivered under the Birmingham Cultural intelligence Framework. It targets health and social care staff and individuals within the not for profit sector who want to improve their engagement with Caribbean communities.

The workshop is designed to enable participants to build their understanding of -

  • the history of natural remedies in the Caribbean.
  • use of Caribbean natural remedies for physical and mental wellbeing.
  • why preferences for Caribbean natural remedies continue to exist today.
  • how an understanding of traditional Caribbean remedies can help build relationships with Caribbean communities and increase engagement with prescribed medication.

At the end of the workshop, participants will recieve a pack of practical resources to assist in putting this learning in to practice.

Lunch will be provided.
