Suitable for all staff working in the voluntary and community sector who wish to gain a better understanding of the child safeguarding system.

Training Description

Working Together 2023 is a key framework for safeguarding children and emphasises interagency collaboration and a child centred approach. The session will provide a general overview of the role of health, children’s social care and Police as statutory partners. Hear directly from experienced safeguarding professionals representing each organisation in Haringey.

Learning Objectives

  • To understand the roles and responsibilities of the 3 statutory partners in protecting and safeguarding the welfare of children.
  • To learn about the purpose of the MASH, how to make a referral to ‘the front door’ and how referrals are triaged.
  • To find out how the Police through specialist teams collaborate and share information with other agencies to protect children at risk of harm.
  • To hear from health colleagues about health’s contribution to safeguarding children with a specific focus on non-accidental injury.

This session will be held twice a year (last held in June). This session is taking place on Wednesday 12th November 2025 at 10am to 12noon.
