Im proud to announce the launch of “An introduction to Christian Muslim Encounters” - a 4 week course at Blackburn Cathedral funded by Near Neighbours
This course is an opportunity to explore Christianity & Islam, the journey begins by creating a safe space and exploring the following themes over the 4 weeks:
Introduction to Christianity & Islam
Why do we need to build bridges?
The diversity of Christianity & Islam as global religions
Finding Common Ground
Towards better disagreement
The elephant in the room
Challenges & opportunities
The course will end with a celebration event that the participants will organise.
The course is an introduction and open to 10 Muslims & 10 Christians from Blackburn, it aims to bring together leaders, activists, practitioners, teachers, youth workers and communities to talk, build bridges, explore faith & society and work together to build a more cohesive society.
The 4 week course will delivered every Tuesday from 10th April to 1st May with a 430pm Arrival with refreshments

17th April - Finding Common Ground
24th April - The Elephant in the room
1st May - What Next?
Each workshop will begin by 5pm and finish by 8pm
This course is facilitated by Imam Saleem Seedat and Rev’d Anderson Jeremiah, through a series of facilitated conversations.
This is an introductory course, previous knowledge and experience is not required, we are looking for 10 Christians and 10 Muslims to commit to all 4 weeks.
