Introduction to Coaching

Tuesday 7th June: 9am - 1pm

Wednesday 8th June: 9am - 1pm

The training is held on Zoom and will be a mix of theory and practise, it is an interactive programme and we encourage the use of camera and headset.

Course Description

This programme, run over two half-days, is for anyone who is interested in developing their understanding of what coaching is and isn’t, and is keen to develop their coaching knowledge and skills.

The objectives of the programme are:

• Understand the key principles of coaching
• Begin to develop key coaching skills
• Understand the GROW Coaching Model
• Be introduced to a variety of topics supported through practice

Topics covered during the programme include;

• What is coaching?
• The GROW Coaching Model
• Goal setting
• Key coaching skills including listening, questioning, using silence and building rapport

Programme Tutor

Martyn is a qualified coach and leadership development trainer with over 15 years’ experience in Learning & Development.
