Event description

Description

This seminar is of interest to staff who work with or who are new to collaborative frameworks, and will include presentations, case studies and interactive opportunities.

“Where a provider works in partnership with other organisations, it has in place effective arrangements to ensure that the standards of its awards are credible and secure irrespective of where or how courses are delivered or who delivers them” – UK Quality Code

With collaborative partnerships continuing to be tightly scrutinised, this seminar aims to illustrate why collaborative frameworks are built the way that they are.

The QAA will cover expectations for common and core practices as outlined in the new Quality Code. The Open University will talk about the setting up of a partnership and what could possibly go wrong. The University of Essex will outline how academic partnerships are maintained so that they stand the test of time.

Speakers:

- Dr Steven Quigley, Registrar, Regent’s University

- Claire Nixon, Head of Quality and Development and Deputy Director of Academic Services, University of Essex

- Dr Alison Felce, Standards and Frameworks Officer, QAA
