This workshop will teach you how to start working in oils, so it's perfect for complete beginners and students looking for a refresher. You will complete a set of exercises that will introduce paint handling and colour mixing.

The class size is small, allowing you to work towards your own personal goals whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced artist looking to enhance your skills.

Your Instructor

Kieran Ingram is a practising visual artist trained in traditional academic painting and drawing techniques. He spent over two years studying at the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy. The academy had a strict curriculum based on the methods used by French Academies in the late 19th Century. It placed an emphasis on a high level of draughtsmanship in both drawing and painting.

He has been practising as a professional visual artist for the past 10 years. His work has been exhibited in the US, UK and Australia. Kieran has been the recipient of a number of awards, scholarships, residencies and has featured on Sky TV’s Landscape Artist of the Year and Sky TV’s Portrait Artist of the Year.
