An introduction to the art of corsetry. You will be provided with all the basics you need to make a Victorian Style Corset and will work with coutil, steel spiral and flat boning, intert a busk and eyelets and finish and bind the corset. We will cover embelishments and if you wish you can bring trims to do this to the class.
All the basic tools and materials will be provided for you to use at the workshop although you are welcome to bring your own sewing machine and sewing kit. You will be contacted in advance to discuss sizing and any other fabrics you may wish to bring with you.

Jan has a passion for fashion. After running a business as a bespoke dressmaker and sewing teacher for 5 years she has trained as a Personal Stylist and Image Consultant.
She is passionate about helping you be the best you can be, identifying the colours and styles that flatter and enhance your own unique qualities. She can help edit your wardrobe, identifying what you have, how to use what you've got and what you need to make it work. Jan can offer personal shopping to fill those gaps or her own bespoke dressmaking service. Jan also has an extensive network of dress makers to call upon.
