John is a Person Centred Counsellor, Supervisor and Trainer. He is a BACP Accredited Counsellor and a BACP Senior Accredited Supervisor.
John has been a counsellor with young people since 1998. He has worked for local authority youth counselling projects in the East Riding of Yorkshire and Hull with young people aged 13 to 25. John has also worked as a counsellor with students for Lincoln University’s Counselling Service. He now works in private practice with children, adolescents and adults, and is based at the Ellesmere Centre, Hull.
John has worked as a supervisor since 2008. He has offered supervision to counsellors working for adult survivors of sexual abuse project, RAPT drug and alcohol project, IAPT project: Let’s Talk counselling service, Local FE College, and also Youth Counsellors working for the East Riding of Yorkshire.
John has been course facilitator since 2013 for the Certificate in Therapeutic Work with Children and Young People course at the Ellesmere Centre for Psychotherapy and Training, Hull.
