About this event

Introducing counselling skills to those with little or no previous experience of counselling, this interactive workshop will give you a greater understanding of the specific qualities of the therapeutic space.

This workshop offers basic counselling skills through a creative lens to those who require a refresher or an introduction to creative therapeutic work (particularly those who work outdoors with people).

During the day you will have an opportunity to deepen your self awareness and support others do the same as we embed our learning of the core conditions and the therapeutic relationship through paired and triad activities. We will also investigate nature as co-therapist, looking at the Other Centred Model (which is used in Tariki's Ten Directions courses) as a framework for practise.

Although this event is part of the Ten Directions training course for ecotherapy practitioners, anybody can book and take part in this public online event. If you are interested, please do buy a ticket.

Please note that we will not be recording this online event. We sadly cannot offer refunds to people who do not show up assuming that they will get a recording.

As our events are interactive, we kindly request that attendees have their cameras switched on to engage with the group experience (unless of course you have technical difficulties).

About Fairlie Winship

Fairlie interweaves Internal Family Systems with Buddhist Psychology through talking therapy, creative methods and inter-being awareness. Her work with inner parts through the IFS model facilitates individuals in deepening self understanding and compassion for both self and others through a restoration of inner balance and harmony which then ripples outwards into personal relationships and the world beyond. This is further enhanced through working outdoors where this interconnectivity can be experienced directly and consciously.

Fairlie works both 1-1 and with groups as well as teaching workshops as a core member of the Tariki Staff team. She has previous experience working with children and young people, and continues to offer parent consultation for this client group.

Fairlie is a Dzogchen practitioner and is fortunate to be part of an active Sangha who follow the teachings of Tsoknyi Rinpoche. She lives in rural Norfolk where she lives with her family on a 2 acre plot.
