Welcome to our ‘Introductory to Depression course'!!!!!!
Do you know that every 10th person on average suffers from depression at some point in their life?
Depression is extremely common and individuals tend to acknowledge their depressive symptoms later which could lead to mild to moderate to severe depression as it’s not being treated. In our FREE introductory course, we will look at the different types of depression, how to identify depression within yourself & others. We will also explore psychological avenues that could help you manage your wellbeing.
Through our introductory course you will become more confident in facing your depressive symptoms. But more importantly you will be able to understand your daily triggers which will mature your preventative skills and educate you on understanding your mental psyche a lot better. Lastly, we will provide a private 1:1 psychological review with a psychological therapist & wellbeing coach exploring specific areas of your life to identify patterns that could lead to a depressive episode.

- How to manage your own unique depressive symptoms
- How to identify depression within others or yourself
Things you need to know
• If you are later than 15minutes you won’t be allowed in the course as late arrivals can affect the dynamics of the group
• This course is space limited within a group setting
• This is an online course that will take place on zoom, it is not a requirement to have your cameras on, but it is very much welcomed
• This course would be held in a non-judgmental and confidential environment
• Please bring a pen and paper along with you as we will be doing group activities
About your Facilitator
My name is Ama Amoako, founder of ‘SimplyAma-YourLifeCoach LTD’. I am a certified Wellbeing Coach with a British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited BSc degree in Psychological Counselling and Therapies, MSc in Psychological Therapies, and an accredited Life Coaching/Mindfulness Diploma.Over an 8-year span, I have accumulated years of experience, working in the mental health sector, ranging from a mental health recovery support worker to an assistant psychologist; a journey that led me to become a psychological therapist, well-being coach & motivational speaker. Through my roles I empower, teach & enlighten individuals to become the best version of themselves, by supporting them to reach their highest potential in all aspects of their lives.
All sessions will be facililated by Ama Amoako - Psychological Therapist & Wellbeing Coach
