Introduction to Digital Marketing
Wed 23 November 2016, 09:30 – 13:30 GMT
We're excited to continue our premium events this autumn, organised in partnership with Oxfordshire Business Support (OBS) from OxLEP.
We've had outstanding feedback from similar courses.
Discounts of up to 90 per cent are available for SMEs throughout Oxfordshire.
Introduction to Digital Marketing is a non-technical exploration of digital marketing for business.
It's a combination of
- the latest, smartest ideas from leading digital marketers
- two decades working with the world's leading brands
- a wealth of experience coaching startups and SMEs
delivered as a series of straightforward, easy-to-understand tips that build on each other.
No prior knowledge or experience of digital or marketing is required. We start from scratch.
The day begins with a look at your Website. What's the purpose of your site? Does it encourage people to move along the all important customer journey? What can we do to improve it? What software can help?
We then consider your Mailing List. Who are you trying to reach? What is the value to them? What do you want them to do after reading? What services are the best to use? What does the law say?
It's then time for Social Media. Which networks matter? How do you grow your following? What should you be posting? What counts as success? Which services can save you time and effort?
We finish with Integration: is your marketing and sales consistent across each channel? When should they differ? What software links up the channels and makes digital work for your business?
At the end of the morning, we make sure everyone leaves knowing what one thing could transform their online presence in a day, in a week and in a month.
The course is specifically designed to give local firms a competitive advantage, by providing access to the latest theories and unbeatable experience – as well as a unique, proven approach to digital marketing.
Please note that the total fee of £300 is reduced to £30 if you qualify for the OBS discount. These figures include VAT.
We'll also pay your Eventbrite fees if you book more than two weeks in advance (choose the Early Bird ticket).
Please ask your accountant about reclaiming the VAT and offseting the cost against your tax. We are happy to issue a certificate of attendance that fulfils the CPD requirements of most professional associations.
The course is given by Justin Jackson, who is a well known business trainer with a background in digital, marketing and public relations. He owns Digital Remit and has taught at a number of institutions, including the University of Oxford.
This event is part funded by Oxfordshire Business Support (OBS) from OxLEP.
