Introduction to Drawing with Pete Codling on Zoom
Event Information
About this Event
Pete, who describes himself as a "professional drawer", will be delivering workshops that are open to all, no matter what your ability. So, if the last time you picked up a pencil was at school, don't be deterred, as Pete's informal style and enthusiasm for drawing is guaranteed to put you at ease and ensure you enjoy this workshop.
"Exploring hidden skills and demolishing myths of ability. Drawing has always been part of the military services from simple contour maps and reconnaissance notes to technical drawings and strategies quickly drawn with sticks in the sand. We make marks; therefore, we are drawing.
From the Regiment of The Artists Rifles to the famous painters of the historic battle fields.
From humble soldiers and sailors who have doodled in letters to loved ones, or designed tattoos and cartoons for one another; to the serving parent who receives a picture from their child.
You know a drawing can communicate on every level. It can help to explore our feelings, focus our minds. A picture is worth the thousand words we cannot always find ourselves." - Pete Codling
