Introduction to Early Years Settings CACHE Level 1 Award

This course is a great first step for anyone who is considering a career in early years settings such as preschools, nurseries and crèches. It is also ideal for parents.
All on Tuesdays, one day a week:
Starting on 21st Feb, 28th Feb, 7th March, 14th March, & 21st March – 9.30am – 2.30pm each day
Please book by 13th February to ensure a place on the course
This qualification develops a basic knowledge of childcare in early years settings, covering working with children up to the age of 5 years old.
Learners will produce evidence in the following 3 units:
The value of play for babies and young children
Management and organisation in an early years setting
The roles and responsibilities of carers and volunteers in early years settings.
Candidates are assessed through a series of set assignment tasks which link to the course content. Assignment are usually completed by the learner in their own time, although the course also includes assignment workshops where your tutor can support you.
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will achieve a Level 1 Award in and Introduction to Early Years Settings from the Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education (CACHE).
Learners must be at least 16 years old at the date of registration for the award.
Leaners must have an English qualification at a minimum of level 1.
If is beneficial if learners are working or volunteering in a childcare setting but not essential.
