Introduction to Egg Tempera

Come and join this introductory session and discover egg tempera painting.

Full disclaimer! I am new to this ancient technique but am inviting you to come along and explore it with me. Using only egg yolk, water and pure pigment we will create sea and skyscapes. If you enjoy watercolours but would like to use more vibrant pigments or if you would like a less toxic alternative to oil painting, egg tempera could be for you. We will explore colour mixing, layering and glazing techniques.

Suitable to people who have some experience of painting.

All materials and tuition provided, but bring your own lunch.
