Introduction to EndNote referencing software
Thu 6 April 2017, 11:00 – 12:00 BST
EndNote can save you hours of time with your referencing!
Bibliographic software systems are programmes that allow you to keep track of all you references. EndNote is a particularly powerful and sophisticated example of this type of software. You can use it to store your book and journal references, find PDFs and store the articles that you already have.
EndNote is particularly good if you get most of your references from databases such as Seeker, JSTOR and Web of Science.
Using the Word plug in toolbar, you can automatically format the references into the style (e.g. APA, Harvard, Chicago) that your School requires when writing your essay or dissertation. It will also generate your bibliography for you!
EndNote is available on all classroom PCs in the University. It can also be purchased through the IT software page at a substantial discount for use on your own computer. You can also use it in conjunction with the free version of EndNote (EndNote Online/Web) which will allow you to use your references on your own PC/Mac.
