**This workshop is available to City of Bristol (UK) based pre-starts and start-ups only**


The workshop will help to prepare you to start your own business and explore your ideas within a relaxed environment during our three sessions over three consecutive days.

Days: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
Times: 10am to 1pm

You will also have the opportunity explore your ideas and think about whether starting a business is right for you.

We integrate business skills training, personal development and life management skills. These help to increase your confidence, knowledge and motivation on your business start-up journey.

In this first session we cover:

In this second session we cover:

• Branding

• The Marketing Mix

• Social Media Strategy

• Introduction to Financial Documents- Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.

• Record Keeping

• Pricing and Cost Strategies

• Breakeven

• Debt & Equity

• Company Structure and Registering as a Business.

Who is this for & eligibilty:
You must be based within the city of Bristol boundary served by the Bristol City Council. This includes those who have an idea for a business, have recently started one or have a business which is already trading.

After registering for the course, you will be sent an enrolment from which you must complete before attending the workshop.

Getting to and from the venue:
SPACEWORKS, Easton Business Centre (EBC), Felix Road, Easton, Bristol, BS5 OHE

By Train (From Bristol Temple Meads)
Bristol Temple Meads train station (City Centre) is approximately 3 miles from Easton Business Centre (EBO).

The closest stops to EBC are Lawrence Hil and Stapleton Road. EBC is a 5-10 minute walk from these stations. Fares are on average 2150 from Bristol Temple Meads and run very frequently.

Both stops are on the route to Bristol Parkway using the GWR service.

By Bus (From Bristol City Centre, Penn St)
From Bristol City Centre (Penn Street, outside of Cabot Circus shopping centre) take any of the following First Bus buses to arrive at the closest bus stop to EBC, called Lawrence Hill.

The bus routes are 6,7, 41 and 43 Easton Business Centre i a 5. minute walk from the stop and fares should cost around £2.50 for a single journey.

By Car (From M32)
Exit the M32 at Junction 3 and take the A4320 exit to Bath/A4. At the roundabout, take the 1' exit onto Easton Way/A.4320.

Turn left onto Easton Rd/B4465. Turn left onto Bannerman Rd Road, and left onto Felix Road. EBC is on the left-hand side.

Parking in the EBC car park is only available to Blue badge holders. Please email wesi

On-street parking is avariable for Visitors and meeting attendees.

There is shelter and racks for bicycles. You just need to bring your own bike lock.

Frequently asked questions

Is there parking?

There is free on-street parking. This can usually be found within 5mins walking distance of the business centre. There are up to 3 accessible parking spaces for blue badge holders. Please reach out to let us know if you require one of these spaces and we will do our best to secure you a spot.

Is the venue accessible?

We are able to request up to 3 accessible parking spaces for blue badge holders only. The meeting rooms and facilities are all on the ground floor, with double fronted doors from entrance to the meeting room itself.

Will lunch be provided?

Tea, coffee and a selection of snacks are provided. We do ask for any allergy or dietary requirements to be shared in advance, so we can cater for these. Lunch is 'not' provided however there are some great spots close to the venue which we encourage you to try out following the workshop.
