Should you lie to save a life? Is it better to be good or to do good? What rights do animals have?
Over 10 weeks, we’ll explore key ethical theories (utilitarianism, deontology, and virtue ethics) and apply them to real-world issues such as justice, war, lying, animal rights, and more. We'll also explore metaethics and ask: Are moral values objective? Can right and wrong be known?
No prior experience with philosophy needed; just curiosity and a willingness to learn more about philosophy.
