Introduction to fairisle/colourwork knitting- design your own hat/cowl

Design your own colourwork/fairisle hat!

With kind permission from Tin Can Knits, you can choose from a huge selection of patterns to pick and mix from! Design your own combinations and knit yourself a beautiful hat or cowl!

You'll choose 2 colours from a huge selection of yarns, plan out your sequences and colours, learn how to knit the colours, looking at how to hold the yarns to work most efficiently , how to catch the floats at the back and a tricks in colour dominance to get the best finish! You'll be knitting in the round, so thats another skill to add in too!

You'll be provided with yarn and needles, you'll be able to choose 2 colours on the day to work with, but if you would like to add more to your colour creations, please feel free to bring more colours of dk weight yarn with you!

Coffee and cake will also be provided!

You must be able to cast on, knit and purl, and read a basic pattern to join in the fun!

Suitable for those who are looking to improve their knitting skills on from just basic knit and purl techniques, it's a perfect next step!
