Description

Fermenting food and drinks is an exciting journey full of interesting discoveries and satisfying results.

At its core, fermentation is simple and practical – with endless combinations!

We have 16 places for this workshop – book early to avoid disappointment, as this introductory price will sure be rather popular !

In this introductory workshop you will learn :

  • Basic facts of fermentation and little history behind the process

  • What tools and equipment you’ll need?

  • Health benefits of fermented foods

Practical part of the 2hr workshop will teach you how to make, store and consume:

  • 3 different flavours of sauerkraut

  • Water kefir, plain and flavoured

  • Dairy kefir

  • Plant milk kefir


You will take home with you:

  • Jars of your own sauerkraut

  • Starter grains for water kefir

  • Starter grains for milk kefir

  • Recipe and instruction cards


Come and learn this ancient technique of food preserving, meet new people and ask questions – we are both trained nutritional therapists and bubbly concoctions enthusiasts!

We will provide organic produce wherever possible and use recycled glass jars -our bit for our health and that of our planet!

Please arrive at 10.20 so we can start promptly at 10.30. No need to bring anything – but an apron may be advisable
