About this Event

Aimed at aspiring naturalists and anyone wanting to know more about nature, this course gives you the skills needed to accelerate your learning, alongside methods which will serve you long after this one day course. With lots of practical tips and tricks on how to learn wildlife, our hope is you’ll feel ready to tackle any group be it birds, butterflies or botany.

Learning outcomes:

- Discover the basic principles of identifying any group of wildlife and the outline tools needed for each different taxonomic group i.e. birds, bats, reptiles, small mammals etc.

- Practice using basic keys and identification books for identifying a range of different species

- Learn how using specific survey techniques can further your learning and get you closer to wildlife
