Overview

Flamenco palmas—the rhythmic hand-clapping that brings life to flamenco singing, dancing, and guitar.

Join us for a warm and welcoming introduction to flamenco palmas for bulerías—the rhythmic hand-clapping that brings life to flamenco singing, dancing, and guitar.
We’ll explore helpful study resources and practise materials to get you ready for the class with Andrés Peña on Friday 5 December at Chorlton High School, Manchester.
This session will be led by Sarah Chambers, a trained violinist with a degree in classical music and over 15 years of flamenco dance and teaching experience. Cost: £5+BF, or free for all confirmed participants of the main course on 5 December.

Bulerías is a festive style of flamenco, lively and cheerful, with interesting rhythms and counter-rhythms. We will look at the basics and how to keep the beat without losing your way. Come along to build confidence, connect with others, and enjoy the rhythm of bulerías!

Where: Online via Zoom. Links will be sent once your attendance is confirmed.
