About this event

Develop Your Creative Practice (DYCP) is a funding stream from the Arts Council designed to support artist’s practice. The fund supports individual creative and cultural practitioners to focus on their development and take them to the next stage of their practice. Activities that can be funded include:

· Building new networks

· Experimenting with new collaborators or partners

· International travel to explore your practice

· Professional development activities, such as training or working with mentors

· Research and development time to explore your practice and take risks.

Grants of up to £12,000 are available, and, although competitive, the fund is accessible. The next round of funding opens on 23 October, with the deadline of 20 November.

In order to support applicants from this area, Philip Butterworth, The Arts Council’s lead Relationship Manager for The Burton and North Devon, will introduce the scheme with a 45 minute presentation, followed by an opportunity to ask questions. The session is free to artists who are interested in learning more about the scheme, whether they want to apply for the next round or not.
