The Living Roofs Academy is running a hands-on training day designed for anyone who wants to further their understanding of green roofs — from landscapers, homeowners and designers to facilities teams, planners, and anyone curious about how urban greening can shape the future of our built environment.

Hosted at Linford Wood, Milton Keynes, this one-day course blends classroom learning with practical, real-world demonstrations. With an on-site café and regular breaks, it’s an accessible, friendly, and genuinely enjoyable way to build your knowledge.

Certification

Everyone completing the course will receive a GRO (Green Roof Organisation) Introduction to Green Roofs certificate.

For those who want to advance further, you’ll have the option to upgrade later to the GRO Skills Card through further training or an assessed module – ideal for professionals looking to evidence competence and move to the next level.
