Underpinned by human factors and trauma informed principles, this half-day workshop provides a much-needed foundation in HuFTI-informed supervisory practices, equipping supervisors and those who would like to be supervisors, with the tools to support teams more compassionately and effectively, foster resilience, and promote reflective, skilled supervision best practices.
The session will cover legislation; why supervision has struggled to find standardisation, importance, and accountability; barriers to and benefits of effective supervision; the demographics of the workforce and why this matters; how we embed human factors and trauma informed principles into the supervision process and beyond; what is and what is not effective supervision; what skills we need to become better supervisors; the opportunity to share your own supervision experiences and skills; and a chance to practice and observe a HuFTI Supervision.
