If you're a student at Henley Business School or the University of Reading you can enter a business idea to our IDEAFEST Competition!

About this event

The IDEAFEST Student Business Idea Competition allows you to pitch your idea for the chance to win a prize of £1,000, plus mentoring to help you take it to the next stage and make your business idea a reality. This workshop will provide you with some insights into how to submit a great entry, covering the theory and practice of business idea generation and development as well as some tips from members of the IDEAFEST judging panel and former competition winners.

The IDEAFEST Workshop will be held both in person in room 108 of the Henley Business School building, Whiteknights campus, and online via Microsoft Teams, 10:00am on Friday 21 January 2022. Here is the full schedule:

10:30am - Protecting Your Business Idea (Jurek Sikorski)

Jurek Sikorski is Executive Director at the Henley Centre for Entrepreneurship (HCfE) at the Henley Business School, a world-renowned international business school, which is part of the University of Reading. The HCfE was established in 2007 with the dual remit of providing entrepreneurship education across the University and carrying high quality research. The HCfE co-ordinates a range of activities that includes teaching of University wide modules and masters programmes at the Henley Business School, providing advice and support for new ventures started by graduates of the University and engaging with SMEs in the Thames Valley for mutual benefit.
