Get ready to learn all about identifying trees in the winter season! This hands-on workshop will teach you how to recognise different tree species even when they have shed their leaves. Our knowledgeable guide will lead you through the basics of tree identification, from bark patterns to twig shapes. This is a great opportunity to enhance your nature knowledge and appreciation for the beauty of trees in all seasons.

Age: 14+ (under 16s booking onto this course must be accompanied by a paying adult )
Things to bring: Please dress for the colder weather and wear suitable, outdoor footwear. Hot drinks will be provided.
About your tutor
This course will be run by Simon Lowe, Training Officer at Derbyshire Wildlife Trust. He has over twenty years of experience planning and leading work parties and managing volunteers in the conservation sector alongside delivering practical and theoretical training in a broad range of traditional habitat management skills. He has a particular specialism in woodland management and regularly delivers training on behalf of the National Forest Company.
