Introduction to Invertebrates

This practical workshop aims to provide an introduction into the world of invertebrates. On this course you will be taught how to identify common invertebrate groups and species. We will also learn about their habitats and life histories. This engaging course will provide a solid foundation for further progress in the field of invertebrate recording; a field more important than ever as a result of declining invertebrate populations around the world.
Morning session – introduction to invertebrates powerpoint with practical demonstration and activities
Afternoon session – practical session outdoors identifying captured invertebrate specimens
Final half hour – invertebrate identification quiz
Please bring with you - Sturdy footwear, warm clothes, a waterproof and a packed lunch
Experience Level - No experience required.
