About this event

Arts • Craft

This Beginner Friendly Bookbinding Workshop led by Tanii of TrashRebound is designed for all keen crafters who love notebooks, enjoy writing, sketching, illustrating or journaling and alike.

You will be making your very own booklet crafted with Japanese stab binding method on this guided tutorial. By the end of this tutorial you will have the skills and understanding of how to create a simple, yet beautiful booklet using an ancient technique still relevant today.

You will also receive tips and tricks on creating further books by yourself (if you fancy!) using this technique without the need for special equipment.

All tools and materials provided, just bring yourself (and an apron if you're wary of glue on your clothes) and let's get making together!

Minimum recommended age is 8 and children must be supervised by an adult. This is due to the use of sharp tools and cutting equipments.

On Saturday 18 October, Muswell Hill Creatives will be bringing people together to get creative at Make and Mend Festival. Guaranteed to be a feast of creativity with a strong focus on sustainability, take part in a workshop, learn about mending and repairs, shop from local makers and enjoy tasty food and drink. Admission to the Festival is free so be sure to arrive early if you're booking a workshop to take a look around and enjoy all that's on offer. Doors open to the Festival at 1pm and close at 5.30pm so arrive early, grab something to eat and browse all the great activities taking place.
